While Opus Domini is a terrific application and looks absolutely elegant, the major flaws are simply not acceptable. In addition, if you have Opus Domini installed on your iPad or iPhone, then you will be unable to fully sync your information across all of your devices. This is absolutely unacceptable for an organization application. Also, there are special occasions where notes you’ve written and events you’ve created will just disappear. Using it for a long period of time will usually lead to a computer crash or a spinning beach ball. The application itself is extremely unstable. However, it has some unfortunately fatal flaws. This tab is a place where you can write down personal and business values that are important to you. It also shows you a calendar so you can see when your goals are supposed to be accomplished. The next tab is the goals tab which very simply allows you to create goals. It will essentially remind you when you should be exercising and dieting. This tab is interesting because it is a dedicated section to help make you healthier. There is the master tasks tab that will be your primary tab for editing your tasks and calendar events. There are other tabs that you can switch between as well. In addition, it will also show you the weather and any other primary productivity notes. Once it’s all set up, it will show you your schedule and your unfinished tasks right on the main page. You can set Opus Domini to sync with just about any major calendar or to-do list service. From the second you open Opus Domini you know that this application is serious about organization. What sets this application apart from other calendar and to-do list applications is that the user interface is designed to look exactly like a paper agenda. Still, despite its limitations, Opus Domini Lite is a nice little time management app.Opus Domini is a desktop organizer for your Mac. It's also unfortunate that there's no client for iPhones and iPads, syncing with the master, as that would really make this a necessary app for us. You can import some data from Gmail, but we could not import from other sources, which is unfortunate. Its resemblance to a day planner will make this a friendlier interface for many to use, it was quick to install, and it was stable in our testing. There is a limit on the number of entries Opus Domini Lite will accept to exceed that limit you have to upgrade to the full commercial package for $8.99.Īlthough we've traditionally used Outlook for managing time and appointments, Opus Domini Lite has a nicer interface and a few features Outlook lacks. Switching from daily to weekly and monthly views is easy. You can check off tasks and move schedules around easily, and there's a nice search ability as well as useful time reporting charts. Opus Domini Lite's interface resembles a typical day planner with times blocked off and task lists shown. Opus Domini Lite then gives pop-up reminders and shows your task schedules each day, helping you manage your time more effectively. You can enter your tasks, goals, and milestones, as well as your mission statements if you have any. Opus Domini Lite is a time management app for Macs.
